Student Spotlight: Noah Bassman
"I took inspiration from a variety of different images to combine an element of artificial architecture, the bricks, and an element from nature, the flowers. From my images I created a composition of a flower and bush in front of a brick wall. This is what I etched onto my copper plate. I did struggle trying to get the bricks to match. I was not satisfied with the result of the bricks, being that they weren't straight and the same size. The final result turned out well; the shading and detail worked really well and it gives the design a 3d effect."
